220 sqm| 2016-2017
The house is located on a modest field of 250 sqm – that its curved shape is a result of it being on a street corner. In order to comply with the building’s lines limitations and make a maximal use of the given territory, we complied with the field’s curves and adjusted the building to it. Thus, a round and clean front has been received, which was emphasized by combining vertical blinds and glass vitrines, that turn to the public space and create a floating and light look.
The owners of the house is a young couple with two children, and the planning of the built and its design were accommodated to the needs they have defined and their personal style. The built surface of the house -220 sqm- is divided to an entrance floor which is a wide public space with a kitchen, a living room and a dining room, to a top floor which contains the private spaces, and to a basement floor that contains a play area and a rehearsal room of the house owner. Deck flooring was chosen for the public spaces with large tiles (3 meters) in a light marble shade and refined texture, and for the tenants’ request to conceal the kitchen, it was hidden behind a wall cladded with wood combined with light bars. The dining room and the living room faces each other, as well as to the luxurious garden, that wraps the house from both sides. The yard was planned in the purpose of creating a sense of continuity between the interior and the exterior, and its surface included hosting areas and a lounge area.
The choice of materials, lighting fixtures, furniture and colors was made by thinking about creating a space that will remain relevant and updated for a long time, together with compatibility to the family’s young nature. The central wall cladded with wood and creates a visual connection between the interior and the garden, that let the green view of the greenery in, and enriches the look.
