An apartment in the premium floors of a residential tower in Tel-Aviv, that was planned and designed for a single man tenant. The western apartment faces a spectacular view of Tel-Aviv and the Mediterranean, so that in the planning process it was important for us to create maximal openness towards the views in the areas in which the tenant spends most of his time. The idea was actualized by changing the original plan in the favor of creating a vast public space that opens to the surrounding landscape.
The entrance to the apartment goes through the kitchen and in front there are large glass vitrines, floor to ceiling, that reveal the impressive landscape. The kitchen and the dining room accommodated to the tenant’s character, that lives alone in the apartment and does not tend to cook large meals – the kitchen was planned as two parallel lines with a work island that separates between the entrance and the work surface, and alongside, a round and inviting dining table with a fresh design has been placed.
In accordance to the tenant’s will, who has defined a preference to the minimalist and urban style, clean design lines were chosen that creates both a dramatic and a pleasant look. Recessed lighting accompanies the entire public space, and in the living room area a modern television wall was planned which integrates sequentially with the look towards the view and does not subtracts from it. In the different house spaces art objects, complementary props were integrated, as well as materials with interesting textures that create interest along with a young and updated vibe. Amongst these, stands out a colorful buffet placed in the living room next to a concrete cladded wall and geometric props inspired by the origami art. The master bedroom was designed as a relaxing and luxurious getaway for the tenant, with warm colors, quality materials and a free-standing bathtub.
